Introduction to Sponsors & Funding Structure
InfraCo Asia Development Pte. Ltd. (“IAD”) is a commercially managed infrastructure development and investment company of the Private Infrastructure Development Group (“PIDG”), a multi-donor organisation that promotes private infrastructure investment in developing countries through specialised financing and project development facilities.
Funding: InfraCo Asia is funded by four members of PIDG: The UK Department for International Development (DFID); the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands (DGIS); the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO); and the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT).
Our Presence
InfraCo Asia in Pakistan
InfraCo Asia successfully developed, financed, implemented and operated two wind power projects in Sindh Province of 50MW each (Metro and Gul Ahmed Wind).
In 2018, InfraCo Asia invested in a portfolio of small to medium scale hydropower projects which are currently under development in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province of Pakistan together with local equity partner, Markhor Energy (Ashraf & Shahreyar Nawabi Family, Iqbal Lakhani Family and Maskatiya Family).
In 2019, InfraCo Asia partnered with AEPL to develop a portfolio of distributed solar power projects.
